I was a young boy walking slowly home from school one day,.. I was gazing upward at the heavily cloud filled sky.
It was the color of clay and looked so forbidding and impenetrable.
To my young self it was as if the heavens were a walled fortress and I was cast outside its walls.to wonder alone.
I felt like an alien being,.. somehow implanted into a world to which I didn't belong.
As these thoughts and feelings emerged and pulsated within me I suddenly heard an authoritive voice speak to me.
It seemed to be both within me and without.
As if it had been well aware of my innermost thoughts and now chose to respond.
The voice proceeded to put a series of questions to me.
Questions so far removed from my everyday little boy musings that they seemed to comming from god himself.
"What if you are the centre of this life?
What if you are the main actor and yhis is simply a pkay in which you are the main character?
What if every one around you are simply acting to?
Playing roles,.. wearing masks..
all in support of you and your story?..
Family,.. friends,.. rivals,.. enemies?..
Then the voice was silent...
I was left to ponder... to reflect and try to make sense of this other worldly intervention that had just given me the core understanding of my having found myself conscious and growing up in such a foreing and seemingly love depleated world.
The developing rational young mind of that little boy was startled and wrestled inwardly with this new outlandish stream of thought..
To that point there was nothing that had happened in my short young experience of life that suggested I was anywhere near the centre of anything...
Yet somehow within me.. I sensed a new perspective was emerging..
I was really of the very centre of life.
Yet I played what seemed to be but a small unimpressive role somewhere out on the edge..
Who was I?... Who am I really when my play comes to an end?..
Who are these others who 'mask up' play out life with me,..
Who are they when.the play is over and the masks are tossed aside?..
Do they also act out centre character in their own plays?..
Do I become a character for them in their plays..
Is it possible I love each of them so much I could go so far as to play a role that even involved spite,.. hatred and abuse?...
When the play draws to a close...
Who am I?..
Who are you?..
Is there ultimately just one... expressed as the many?...
Yes....
My heart says yes...

Love never insists the loved other changes to continue to be loved.
The loved others that makes no adjustment slowly disconnect themselves..
Love does not place deep focus on what is non resonant,.. understanding that to engage is to merge...
Love knows that the non resonant is ultimately temporary,.. simply present in this moment to help us clarify who we are and what we prefer..
Love understands its own true inner nature...
Love celebrates the journey of all those it touches with deep respect for each individual.
Love allows each individual their own journey, yet is always eager to reveal itself to every open heart..

I wonder if "ego love" is more of a third chakra/yellow chakra kind of energy? Because I had a big heart opening experience once, and it felt different than romantic love. Like, it was all *I love everything* and a sort of blissful state, which is pretty different.

This one is to remind me to use this as a tool if someone is angry with another..."Erik: Sometimes it helps to visualize. Take the case of the molested person. She can get an image of herself bitch slapping the molester, and then ripping a suitcase from his hands. That suitcase has all the lessons you could take away from that experience. Open it up and see it full of golden nuggets. One nugget might be a lesson in empowerment. Another might be a lesson in forgiveness. Another might be a lesson in compassion. Maybe one is a lesson on what kind of person not to be like how you need to be as a parent. Then take those nuggets and stuff them into your heart one by one and walk away. When you look back, watch the molester fade away and disappear. You gotta translate that visualization into your feelings and beliefs, and sometimes repeating it over and over in your head will help."
